NCOA - General

The Public Sector in India was designed to provide goods and services in critical and strategic areas of the economy; to serve as a bulwark against the multinationals; conserve natural resources and to establish self-reliance in science, technology and manufacturing. The Public Sector was also an instrument for regulating food grain and commodity trade  as  well  as creating  strategic  sales  for  strategic  commodities  like minerals.  Generations  of  PSU  employees  through  dedication  did  achieve  these objectives to a larger extent.
