Minutes of NEC held at Mumbai on 05 Mar 2017.
Meeting started with a welcome address by Shri.Ashok Shelhalkar, Dy Secretary General (West).
Following this the President Shri.V.K.Tomer made his presidential address.He has explained the initiatives and actions taken by NCOA in bringing out the PRC report, public. Further while explaining the recognition NCOA has gathered in our PSU fraternity, he has pointed out that many associations have joined NCOA recently. In the case of disinvestment/privatisation agenda of this Govt., he has urged the associations to make the Parliament march on 22nd of March a grand success.
Following the Presidential address Secretary General addressed the NEC. He has presented the minutes of last NGC held at Cochin and the NEC approved the minutes. Further he has explained the situation that lead to take adecision of Parliament March on 22 Mar and requested everybody to participate in this march in full strength.
Treasurer Shri.Mallesh presented the audited accounts of the year 2016 and NEC approved it. He has made a request to make full payment and dues of subsceiption and also struggle fund. West Zone has greatfully commited Rs. one lac towards struggle fund which shall be transfered in aweeks time. Thanks to the officers in west.
NEC decided to ensure maximum strength in our 22nd program.
Different zones assured the minimum strength as follows.
1. Kerala- 20 to 25
2. Bangalore – Above 50
4. Mumbai- 25 to 50
5. Kolkota- 20
6. North East- 5 to 10
7. Tamilnadu- 25
In addition to this all Delhi based PSUs will bring maximum number of executives in this agitation. Certain PSU Associations have offered to come with family to strengthen the agitation.
Program: On 22nd of March everybody to gather by 1;30pm at ‘Eastern Court’, adjuscend to BSNL corporate office at Janpth, which is opposite to Hotel Janpath( Near Metro station- Janpath). The procession will start by 2pm and proceed to Parliament street. Public address etc will be at Parliament street.
SNEA general secretary Shri. Sebastian and Working president Shri.Lakhminarayana also addressed the NGC. Shri.Sebastian urged the support and participation of all NCOA constituents in the nation wide agitation of BSNL employees and executives scheduled on 9th March.
Shri.K.S.N. Raju and Shri. Arunachalam made the presentations on 3rd PRC report and the NEC deliberated on this matter. We will consolidate our views based on this discussion and meet DPE officilas immediately and express our views and demands.
NEC decided to coopt the following members to NEC as per the constitution as there are few positions vaccent.
1.Shri.Sebastian –General Secretary, SNEA.
2. Shri.D.Ramalu- A.P.Zone President and ECILOA General Secretary.
3. Dr.Rohit- NMDC
4. Shri.Shivaji Guha – President, GRSEOA
5. Shri.Arunachalam- Secretary,BHEL Federartion
6. Shri. Alok Roy ,IOC or Shri BP Rao ,NHPC from Delhi ( only once they get affiliated.)
NEC Authorised Secretary General to incorporate required modifications in our constitution where few things are incomplete which has happend by mistake when the final text was prepared.
